Not long now!

Not long now, weather is warming up, boats will launched soon and racing begins Friday 2nd April.

As last year the Covid safety rules are no different regarding allowing 3 sailors in an XOD. Everyone needs to assess there own risk and you will find all the information on the club and RYA websites if you're unsure. Also see the Commodore's update.

In order to avoid too much interaction with members the racing will be b2bs for the foreseeable future. So bring some sustenance and a drink!

We are also desperately looking for working parties post Easter- Monday to Thursday to help with the staging. We want 2 teams of 6 people each day. Protection will be given and all Covid secure measures will be in place. Unfortunately work had to be stopped at the end of last year, so there is some catching up to do. The X fleet did an excellent job last summer, we just need another push. So if you can help either on your own or with friends please sign up on line.

The boat checks are almost completed, but many boats didn't have all the gear on board such as anchors and spinnaker poles. During the course of a couple of weeks after launching David McGregor will go round those boats and finish off the checks. As soon as its done I'll send you your new boat check form for safe keeping.

In the meantime dig out your gear, check your life jackets and see you - eventually- on the water.

Can't wait - the harbour needs filling up!
